Tracking the Progress of Top Scientists

In 2019, I conducted a comprehensive analysis, calculating the K-Index for 50 leading scientists. For detailed insights, please refer to the provided link. The K-Index, initially proposed in 2018 within the esteemed scientific journal Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, stands out for its enhanced reliability compared to the conventional h-index, boasting a notably stronger correlation with Nobel Prize laureates.  Recently, I revisited this study, recalculating the K-Index for select scientists from the initial cohort to gauge their performance over the past five years. The ensuing findings are outlined below:

Alain Aspect (Nobel 2022)…………21% increase

David Baltimore………………………..18%

Allen Bard………………………………..25%

T.Berners-Lee…………………………..27%

Roger Penrose (Nobel 2020)………29%

Mildred Dresselhaus………………….32%

Anthony Fauci…………………………..25%

Jean Fréchet……………………………22%

Luc Montagnier (Nobel 2008)…….12%

Martin Karplus………………………….19%

Margaret Geller………………………..19%

Charles Townes………………………..20%

Eric Kandel (Nobel 2000)…………..18%

Dennis Bray……………………………..12%

Pierre Chambon………………………..22%

Kary Mullis (Nobel 1993)……………20%

Edward Witten………………………….10%

Edward Wilson…………………………24%

Nüsslein-Volhard (Nobel 1995)…..18%

PS – Given that in the last five years my K-index has increased by 130%, what does this mean?
